Girl Guides across Australia have partnered with Clean Up Australia to recycle old mobile phones.

Electronic or e-waste is the fastest growing waste stream in the country; growing at three times the rate of other rubbish streams. There are an estimated 21 million mobile phones in Australia or about one for every person in this country. With the average person replacing their mobile phone every 12-24 months, there are millions of old mobile phones that are left unused or are discarded to landfill.

By donating your mobile phone through a free post satchel, you will be helping Girl Guides and Clean Up increase the rate of phone recycling above the current 3%. Along the way you will also help the partnership earn $3.00 for every phone recycled.
