Clean Up is distressed to learn that Phillip Foxman is using the establishment of Clean Up Israel as some form of ‘offset’ against the allegations made by DECCW. [Sun Herald 10 April 2011]. Allegations of this nature are serious and Clean Up fully supports their investigation together with due penalties.

We were disturbed to see Ian Kiernan's name being trailed through that article, apparently as a sort of reference for Mr Foxman's environmental character.

Mr Foxman did establish Clean Up Israel – but what that, or his having liaised with Ian Kiernan have to do with the truth or otherwise of allegations being made against him is difficult to imagine. Neither Ian Kiernan nor Clean Up wish our good name to be used in this way, and have written to Mr Foxman asking him to refrain from using our credentials for his own purposes.

It is regrettable that Mr Foxman did not seek our or Ian Kiernan's permission before involving us in this serious environmental issue in a way which he must have foreseen has the potential to cause reputational damage to both.

Neither Ian Kiernan nor Clean Up supports or endorses Phillip Foxman and/or his commercial operations in any way.
