Missed Clean Up Australia Day? It’s not too late to help out

If you missed out on being one of the 630,000 Australians across the country who helped to Clean Up Australia last Sunday, don’t worry, you can still help to make a difference to our environment. 

For the first time this year, Clean Up Australia has teamed up with GoFundraise to offer the community a new way to help Clean Up Australia – by donating online at www.gofundraise.com.au.

“Just because you couldn’t help out on Clean Up Australia Day doesn’t mean you’ve missed your chance to get involved. You can still make a donation online and help us clean up all year round,” Clean Up Australia Chairman Ian Kiernan AO said.

“This is a fantastic new initiative that helps to ensure that every Australian can contribute to a better, healthier Australia. All money raised goes directly towards the Clean Up Our Climate campaign, which tackles the important issue of climate change.” 

Mr Kiernan says climate change is one of the biggest issues facing Australia now and for future generations. 

“Clean Up Our Climate offers practical solutions to climate change such as reducing energy use, recycling and waste minimisation. These are things everyone can do to help make a positive difference to the future of our planet.”

Clean Up Our Climate helps address the causes of climate change and contributes to long-term solutions for our environment by working with government, individuals and businesses to identify and showcase innovative products and emerging technologies.
