KARKAROOK PARK WETLAND RESTORATION

About the Karkarook Park Wetland Restoration Project

Woking with the local community and Parks Victoria, Clean Up Australia facilitated CSR Limited and Boral Resources extracting sand from the site of the Wetland and then rehabilitated it to form a new recreational lake, wetlands and parkland.

The Wetlands of Karkarook Park now serve an important function collecting stormwater washed from roads and urban areas and filtering it before the water flows into Port Phillip Bay.
