Clean Up Australia can’t believe that once again hunger for profit ignores what is beneficial for the environment. There are enough studies that show that a Container Deposit Scheme is not just good for the environment, it will also have positive effects on the economy and our community.
South Australia has proven that a 10cent deposit on drink containers increases recycling rates up the 87% versus a national average of 35%. What’s more it’s popular with the community.
