SURVEYED SITES

The 'Returned Valid Surveys by State' chart shows the number of valid Rubbish Report surveys received from each state, including both urban and rural areas. This year all states returned more surveys, with a total of 814 sites surveyed, compared to last year's 738 sites.

Roadways provided the highest number of returned surveys, with 190 surveys, accounting for 23.3% of all sites surveyed.

Park / Waterfront sites returned the next highest number of surveys (152) accounting for 18.7% of all sites, followed by River / Creek sites (126) and providing 15.5% of all sites surveyed.

The least number of surveys were completed at Outdoor Transport sites, accounting for 0.2% of all sites surveyed.

In line with previous years and reflecting increased campaign participation levels, NSW returned the most surveys with 309 valid returned surveys. Victoria followed in second place with 134 surveys and then Queensland with 123 and South Australia with 120 surveys. This result is consistent with previous years.
