ABOUT THE COLLECTIONS

Clean Up Australia has created the BUY RECYCLED Collections to showcase Recycled Content Products (RCPs) and products with recycled packaging. These are aimed at consumers to raise awareness, drive demand for recycled content and compel brand owners to take action.

As an environmental organisation, we recognise that buying recycled is just one part of the solution to Australia’s waste challenges. Our guiding philosophy is always to consider the planet first when it comes to all of our consumption and production choices.

Collections and products

We've organised the Buy Recycled Collections into categories so you can easily browse and shop for products . Some categories contain specialty products perfect for thoughtful gifts or beautiful additions to your home, and some categories contain everyday products to help make practical choices in your daily living. As the collections expand, we will continue to add new products and categories designed to help consumers Buy Recycled.

Whilst we encourage and celebrate recycled content sourced within Australia, we recognise there are challenges for certain products to completely achieve this. Over time, with new investment, infrastructure and demand, we hope to be able to showcase products and packaging with 100% Australian-sourced recycled content.

Listing criteria

Each of the products listed on the Buy Recycled site has met the required criteria of having at least 20% recycled content by weight of their product. For packaging, we are listing products which meet the National Packaging Targets for 2025.
