Hold your own Team Clean Up

Bupa is proud to be a Gold Partner of Clean Up Australia, and together, we need your help to improve and conserve our environment, eliminate litter and end waste.

Now it’s our chance to get together and take care of your health and wellbeing whilst cleaning up your local environment.

Organising a team Clean Up event is a great way to:

  • Engage your team in a fun, practical volunteering day
  • Enjoy the great outdoors and improve your local environment
  • Grow relationship connections through shared experiences
  • Contribute to Bupa’s sustainability strategy by utilising available volunteer leave to support our environment

Once you have decided on the time and date of your event, ensure all eligible team members log their leave via workday/dimensions.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

Each team site requires a nominated Site Supervisor and their contact details to register your site and to oversee your team’s safety on the day

  • When registering, please name your site using the following format:
“BUPA: [STATE or CITY] [CLEAN UP LOCATION]”

Choose a Clean Up location close to your team’s work or home. Parks, beaches, streets and waterways are all suitable — as long as the area is safe and will benefit from litter removal.

If you’re registering a larger group and expect to collect more rubbish than you can dispose of in local council bins, please contact your council prior to the event to organise a rubbish collection point.

Once your registration is complete, you’ll receive an email with your event number and a Clean Up Kit for 10 participants, which includes:

  • 10 recycled rubbish bags (a mix of general waste and recycling)
  • 10 reusable gloves (a mix of small and medium)
  • 1 Site Supervisor hi-vis vest
  • 1 sharps container
  • QR code volunteer sign-in sheet (add your event registration number to this sheet for each participant to scan and sign in/out on the day. This sign in process triggers Clean Up Australia’s Public Liability Insurance.)

Please ensure that you check in and out on the day so that we can record your volunteer hours.

Please allocate up to 2 weeks for your Clean Up Kits to arrive from time of registration
