Each year, in the lead up to the annual wet-season Cairns Regional Council endeavours to reduce litter near our urban waterways by partnering with Clean Up Australia to run a series of community Clean Up events.
In 2023, 100 volunteers generously donated their time to help collect over 80 bags of litter (equal to 17 full wheelie bins) from urban waterways.
This year, Cairns Regional Council is thrilled to once again ask Cairns residents to lend a hand at one of their 2024 Clean Up events being held throughout September!
