Over the weekend of Clean Up Australia Day, from Friday 3 March until Sunday 5 March, Liquorland will be donating 25 cents from every sale across more than 760 stores and online to Clean Up Australia.

The funds raised will be used to provide thousands of free Clean Up kits to volunteers to help clean up their local parks, beaches, rivers and outdoor spaces in their local communities.

Coles Liquor Group has partnered with Clean Up Australia for the past two years, raising more than $240,000 to support the country’s largest community based environmental event.

Love Your Land launched this year and represents all sustainable initiatives undertaken by Liquorland that seek to reduce the impact on the environment and show love for the local land.

Other sustainable initiatives Liquorland undertakes include:

  • Box for Boxes’ – a unit made from recycled plastic bags that holds upcycled wine, beer and spirit cardboard cartons for customers to carry their purchased goods. These units were rolled out nationally and are part of a closed loop replacement for plastic bags.
  • Better Bag Transition – currently trialling paper bags to replace plastic bags. This has been approved for national rollout implemented by July 2023. The paper bag is made from 80% recycled paper content and is 100% recyclable, stopping the circulation of plastic bags in our stores.
  • One of the exclusive suppliers of the Eco-Bottle wine range in collaboration with packaging pioneers Packamama and winemakers Taylors Wines and Accolade Wines. The Eco-Bottle has a slimmer and flatter profile, is made from 100% recycled Australian PET plastic (excluding the cap) and is 83% lighter than an average glass wine bottle.
