Here are some tips and resources to help your event run smoothly

Before your Clean Up

Follow us on Facebook and Instagram: @cleanupaustralia

Promote your event with all the truly excellent free assets available from our resources page (you can create a Facbook event, share an Instagram post, hang a poster on a community noticeboard or send a media release to your local paper)

Share our promo video to inspire and encourage others.

Download any documents you will need from our digital kit
o QR Code print out - digital volunteer registration form (make sure you note your Event Number, which you can find online here or by getting in touch)
o Risk Warning Poster
o Accident and Incident Form
o Thank You Certificates
o End of Clean Up Report including Rubbish Survey

Organise rubbish collection - remember to either make plans to dispose of the rubbish yourself or contact your local council to check if they will collect the rubbish (we generally find asking to be put through to the Waste Dept is a good place to start)

Safety tips

Inspect the site if you have not already done so. Identify any potential hazards, noting it is advisable to complete our risk assessment form to ensure you have considered all safety issues.

Organise any additional equipment you may need. We will supply you with a Clean Up Kit, but recommend that each person brings along a pair of sturdy gloves (like those used for gardening) and remembers a water bottle, hat, sunscreen and wears covered shoes.

Read our COVID-19 statement and ensure your event is compliant with your State/Territory’s current restrictions by checking updates here. In the interests of public safety, if you or anyone in your family or household are experiencing symptoms related to COVID-19, do not attend any events, please get tested and isolate until a negative result is returned. This applies to all participants.
